What We Believe

What we believe about the scriptures

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, the Bible is without error.

What we believe about God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus (the Son of God) became a man to reveal God to mankind and to become the Savior of the world.

What we believe about mankind

We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.

What we believe about salvation

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for man’s salvation. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his sin. The only way to God is through the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

What we believe about the Christian Life

We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word and daily yielding to the Spirit, every believer should mature and become conformed to the image of Christ through their own personal relationship with the Lord.

What we believe about the Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The members are those who have trusted by faith in the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the Church is to equip God’s people so that they can find their place in the body and learn how to live a more effective Christian life.

Our 7 Core Values

Biblical Authority

God has spoken very clearly to us through the Bible and we recognize it as the final authority for our lives.

The Family Unit

We believe the family is the cornerstone of our society. Therefore, we emphasize Biblical principles and values concerning the family unit.

Worship

Our desire is that all people enjoy freedom and expression in worship. Our worship is the demonstration of our love to the Lord.

Prayer

We view prayer as communication with God on a personal and corporate level. Prayer is the determining factor of our success in life. We believe that prayer is vital.

Giving

The law of love is giving and a loving church is a giving church. Our offerings demonstrate our love for God and His people.

Real Community

We believe the way we relate to others determines our success in life. Accountability, belonging, care and spiritual growth happens best with relationally connected believers.

Legacy

We believe the success of our church will only be realized as we take responsibility for instilling the truth into others. Thus, the next generation will be better and will accomplish more because of those values. Inheritance is what we leave behind, legacy is who we leave, along with the truth and values we instill. Legacy is important to us.
